Terms of Service · effective 17 September 2026
Terms for using Aparine.
These Terms govern business use of Aparine (the “Service”). By creating an account, using a Free Preview or purchasing a subscription, you agree to them on behalf of the business you represent.
1. Who provides the Service
Aparine is operated by Not yet configured, a sole trader trading as Bridgnorth IT, at Not yet configured. Aparine is the product and customer-facing service name. Support: Not yet configured.
If the legal structure of the business changes, the current operator details will be updated here. A Companies House company number does not apply to the present sole-trader structure.
2. Business use only
The Service is intended for businesses and people acting for business purposes, particularly manufacturers, packaging suppliers and specialist service providers in the beauty supply chain. You confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for the business account you create.
3. Free Preview
A new self-service account normally starts with a Free Preview. No payment card is required and no subscription is created automatically. The Free Preview is intended to demonstrate the personalised prospecting experience without providing unrestricted access to the retained database.
The Free Preview currently provides up to three personalised Hot Picks from the newest available weekly data after you complete a Targeting Profile. Historical Explore access, broader retained-market access and Team features are reserved for paid plans. We may change reasonable Free Preview limits, prevent misuse or repeated account creation intended to bypass those limits, and occasionally offer a separate time-limited promotional trial.
4. Paid plans, renewal and payment
Available plans and prices are shown on the website and at Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until cancelled. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details.
Promotion codes, retention offers, discounts or complimentary periods may have their own expiry, eligibility or redemption limits. Unless stated otherwise, a temporary discount does not change the underlying recurring price after the promotion ends.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal in your account. We may ask why you are cancelling and may present an optional retention offer before cancellation. You are not required to accept an offer. Unless we agree otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period and access continues until then. We do not normally refund unused parts of a billing period, except where required by law or where we expressly agree a refund.
6. What the prospect signals mean
The Service combines and interprets public information, including UK Intellectual Property Office trade mark records and Companies House information. A filing, company event, Signal Score, Opportunity Potential, personal-fit score, category or inferred supplier need is a research signal only. It does not prove a launch will happen, that a business wants contact, that it has budget, or that it needs a particular supplier.
You must verify important information against the source records before making commercial decisions or contacting a prospect.
7. Accuracy and availability
Public records can contain errors or change after publication. Automated company matching and derived intelligence can also be incomplete or wrong. We aim to keep the Service useful and available, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete coverage or error-free data. We may change scoring, sources, features and presentation as the Service develops.
8. Responsible prospecting
You are responsible for your sales, marketing and direct-contact activity, including complying with applicable data-protection, electronic-marketing and sector rules. The Service does not provide permission to contact an individual and does not provide legal advice.
9. Accounts and security
Keep login details confidential and use the Service only through accounts allocated to your organisation. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. Team access must not exceed the user allowance of the plan purchased. We may suspend access where necessary to protect the Service, other users or data.
10. Permitted use and downloads
You may use the Service for your own organisation’s legitimate prospecting, research and sales operations. Where the Service provides a download of your own working activity, that download is intended to help you retain statuses, next actions and notes that your organisation created while using the Service. It does not grant a right to bulk-download or retain the underlying Aparine intelligence database.
You must not resell the Service, republish substantial parts of the database, systematically extract the Service, scrape or automate bulk retrieval, create a competing data product from the Service, circumvent Free Preview or subscription access controls, or use automated means against the Service without permission.
11. Intellectual property and source data
Our software, design, scoring logic, derived commentary and compilation of the Service are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Public-source records remain subject to the rights and licences that apply to those sources. Where applicable, public-sector information is used under the Open Government Licence and source attribution is retained.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the Service is a business research aid and we are not liable for a customer’s decision to contact or not contact a prospect, a prospect’s commercial outcome, loss caused by relying on an unverified inference, or indirect or consequential business loss. Our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the subscription fees you paid us for the Service during that period.
13. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms and will make the current version available on the website. Material changes affecting paid customers will be communicated reasonably in advance where practicable. Either party may end the subscription in accordance with the cancellation provisions. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, misuse, non-payment or security risk.
14. Privacy, cookies and communications
Our Privacy Notice explains how we use personal information, public-source prospect data, prospect-quality feedback and account/product telemetry. Our Cookie Policy explains optional analytics and advertising measurement. Service messages necessary to operate your account are not marketing communications.
15. Law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
